Lost media archivists have dug up what appears to be a full-length trailer for the would-be cartoon-turned live action superhero dramedy based on the original Powerpuff Girls cartoon. Whether these clips are from the original version of what was filmed before the reshoots, all from the reshoots, or from some of both is not known. What is known is how TERRIBLE it looks. Well, terrible as in below average even for CW standards. After all, the network is modestly capable when it has a budget (see Superman & Lois, the Crisis on Infinite Earths special, Gorilla Grodd and King Shark over on Flash). Narratively, it seems stuck in the wanting to appeal to old fans but also updated for a modern audience purgatory. There were of course some obvious changes to the characters, and as comicbookmovie.com put it, the less said about Mojo & Jojo, the better. Strangely though, after watching this thing too many times while editing this video... I'm kind of on board with a series following Bubbles's drunken adventures in Hollywood. Call me weird.
